I happened to stumble across a very nice sim called Holy City. Here I found an amazing Temple and also a place to learn.
Designed by Rabbi Writer, Rabbi Writer in RL is both a rabbi and a writer, an Israeli citizen presently residing in The Netherlands.
The Rabbi has congregations in both the Netherlands and Israel and this Temple is the common gathering place for both.

Meditation is a form of prayer — a time of devotion and silence in oneness with Spirit. As Jesus said, the Kingdom of Heaven is not ‘out there’ somewhere but is "within" us (Luke 17:20-21). In meditation, we turn to the Kingdom within and there we find our Creator; the Divine energy (call it God or Goddess if you will) that seeks only the best for us and wants to answer our prayers: to meet all our needs (Matthew 6: 31-33). In many societies, meditation is thought of as an adult experience. Yet there are many benefits in meditation for children too. In some cultures, daily meditation practice begins at a very tender age, giving a child a firm foundation on which to build their life.

|
|
|
|
The 1st Second Life collaborative group meeting was held at the Mystical Academy on Saturday Sept. 30 at 12:00 SLT.
Some comments from participants sum this meeting up :
- An extraordinary journey
- We are talking about transforming communication in sl and rl
- Something new can be created through spiritual means and an open-minded willingness to inquire about what else is possible
- The awakening of sleeping ppls..... I think is a gradual process
As any first meeting, it was a bit disjointed...but a very hopeful step ahead in what could be a great new process of collaboration for Second Life.

About 20,000 protesters, led by Buddhist monks and nuns, on Sunday mounted the largest anti-government protest in Myanmar since a failed 1988 democratic uprising.
And then as many as 100,000 protesters led by a phalanx of barefoot monks
marched Monday in the most powerful show of strength yet from a
movement that has grown in a week from faltering demonstrations to one uniting the entire country in a pro-democracy uprising.
